March 20th, 2007

Hey Everybody,

Hope everyone made it through the winter.  February was a tough one!  Ah, but spring is in the air and 2007 looks to be an exciting year.

The Blondes will be performing at a couple of Harley Davidson events this summer which is always a blast.

Check the tour dates to see when. We're going into our 3rd year as a Jagermeister sponsored band.  They send us the coolest stuff to give away at our shows.  Gina will be graduating college in August. Larry has licensed 2 songs to NBC/Universal with some material being looked at by a competing network and a possible soundtrack for some acoustic guitar slide work. Bub has Lost Boy Graphics up and running, you can go to the blondes My Space site to get the website address and info from the Blondes friends list and Brian is at SXS music festival in Texas and has been producing a radio show lately while doing recording work.

The Blondes are reving up for a great summer with lots of performances coming up.  The Blondes will be performing at a new venue in Waverly, Ohio in April called The Grand Tavern. Check the tour dates to see when and where. Atlantis is Back and Jamming in Charleston, West Virginia, so check for Blondes dates there. Make sure you come to Noggins in Portsmouth, Ohio, for the Kentucky Derby week-end!

We want to acknowledge Phil and Steve at Protech Solutions for helping us out with our website, Thanks guys!

Latest News:  July 7, 2005

Hi guys,

We hope you are all having a great summer.  So far we are really getting busy this summer with lots of outdoor shows and concerts.  A special mention and attention to the Friday, July 22nd benefit concert at Portsmouth West High School, West Portsmouth, Ohio where we'll be appearing with country recording artist Earl Thomas Conley.  This concert is to provide scholarship money to area graduates and tickets will be available at the door for $10, will all proceeds going to the scholarship fund.  Check out all the latest tour dates HERE...

Well, I can finally tell you a little more about our latest brush with fame.  Back in April, Gina made the final 50 contestants on the CBS reality show "Rock Star: INXS" which debuts Monday, July 11th at 9:00 pm on CBS.  They flew her out to L.A. for final auditions and she stayed for a week during the final interviews, performances and got a chance to meet INXS, and the show hosts Dave Navarro and Brooke Burke.  INXS is the band looking for a new lead singer and the winner of the show will get to record an album and tour around the world with the Australian band.  "INXS is still looking pretty hot!", according to Gina.  She said they were extremely down to earth and complimentary of her voice.  The behind the scenes info we have is unfortunately Gina was sick with a bug of some sort and didn't get to show off her best vocal performance, but she says it was a great experience and all the contestants were very nice to each other.  So, the bad news:  she didn't make the final cut for the show, but the good news:  she was chosen top 50 out of thousands who auditioned from around the world AND Convertible Blondes will still be her musical home.  Great job, Gina - we are proud of you!  Check out the letter INXS autographed HERE...

We are in the studio working on the new CD!  So far there are 10 songs written and half are already recorded.  The process has been very easy, with lots of ideas flowing between everyone and just like the last CD we are all giving our input on songs and arrangements.  Brian and Larry are engineering and producing this CD and it should be ready for listening hopefully the end of August.  Thanks to Jagermeister for their sponsorship of the CD.  Here are a few of the track titles we are working on:

1.  Letting Go

2.  Special

3.  Happy People

4.  Tomorrow From Here

5.  BlondE (working title)\
