Bub Koster started playing music at the age of 14.
Influenced by the music of artist like Kiss, Aerosmith, Elton John, David Bowie, AC/DC and Led
Zepplin young mister Koster had stars in his eyes. After high school Bub spent years
moving from band to band chasing those stars. In 1987 he joined a glam rock band
called Oney which gained a large following in the Huntington area. From 1990 to 1992 me moved to
Cleveland Ohio to play in the band Raggedy Ann which was managed by Roger Probert
and Major Productions out of New York. That band drew label attention from companies
like Electra, RCA, Atlantic and Columbia Records. Due to unforeseen circumstances
that band split and Bub Koster returned to the Tri-state area. He then sang lead
vocals in the popular Ironton band Syrinix for two and a half years years. He enrolled at Marshall
University August of 1996 majoring in Art Education. He had all but put music in his past
when those stars started shining in his eyes again in 1998. He spent the next few years
attending classes and playing in the bands Jonestown Concession and Summa' Dog. After his stint
in Summa' Dog he decided to takea break from his education when soon after The
Convertible Blondes offered him the bass playing position with them. If you've seen the band
you know the rest of the story. He is currently still enjoying playing music with the
Blondes and plans on completing his education sometime in the near
future.
