Atlantis:   December 2004

Well, it's been awhile since we've written a diary entry so I better get on it...Hi guys this is Gina...
This weekend at Atlantis was a lot of fun for many reasons.  On Friday night we arrived at the gig to find everyone in the Christmas spirit.  Our friends from Walker CAT were there in numbers to enjoy their "unofficial" Christmas party.  Dave and his crew were ready to party and drink a little Jagermeister.  Some of those same guys and girls are also our Harley Davidson friends and it was great to see everyone!  WV Rally 2005 at Snowshoe - be there!  Thanks Larry Holstein for everything you do to promote the band, you are a great friend.

It also happened to be my birthday on Friday night.  I have to confess I have mixed feelings on my birthday as most women do.  It's not always a time of celebration.  :)  I found myself thinking back over the year and wondering where had the time gone?  In other words, I was depressed.  :)  ha ha ha  It did not turn out to be a complete pity party because of all my friends who lined up for hugs and the chance to spank me.  Jeanie, Kelly, Phil, Dave, Steve, Susan and the crew brought me a cake with lots of icing just like I like it, and gifts too.  There may be an incriminating picture out there of me diving into my cake.  Hopefully it won't surface anytime soon.  (Sometimes you just have to come and see us live if you want to get in on the party...)  There was a special birthday wish from the Reserved Table, which shall remain nameless, that almost made me cry!  OK, I admit it - I did cry...Chavo sent me a birthday email and the guys made me do the birthday 2-step and I gave myself a CD!  It was really fun...

Saturday night was packed and everyone got their groove on.  We gave away a lot of Jager merch to all the people drinking Jager.  My personal favorite is the Jager Bomb.  If you haven't tried one, you should right away.  It tastes like sweet tarts and gives you a great tingly feeling.  JagerBombs make you dance all by yourself at the bar and enjoy every minute of it until you fall asleep in the car on the way home.  Right Sarah?  :)

It was a great weekend and it really made me think of all the special people I have met over the years while standing on stage with Convertible Blondes.  When all is said and done - that is all that matters.  The friends you meet along the way and the love you give back to us.  The band is only as good as the people that come to see us - and the people that come to see us are the best in the world.  What an honor to be here another year and still making music and new friends.  Thanks for everything, you don't know how much it means to me!

See you soon - Have a Merry Christmas! and a safe New Year!
your friend,
gina
