Atlantis:   August 16 - 30

Hi, this is Gina and this is my first diary entry.  It seems a little strange to be sitting here writing this, but I will think of it like a conversation with all our friends online around the world.

Wow, it seemed like we'd been away from Atlantis for a while and we really missed everybody!  It was great to see some of our favorite people.  We started playing at Atlantis, in Kanawha City or Charleston, WV for people who aren't from around these parts, about 4 years ago.  Ayman, the club owner, and all the staff there are so great and we've really become friends, so it's always fun to come back there and play.  And I want to say that the crowds there are exceptional to play for.  They know the wilder they get, the wilder show we give.  They have always supported the band and we appreciate the Atlantis fans.  We're adding in our originals every night and "She Wants to Rock" seems to be their favorite so far.

BIG NEWS:  We are releasing our first Original CD Single to radio and record stores the third week of September.  There will be 2 tracks on it from our upcoming CD Curves.  The tracks are:  "She Wants to Rock" and "One More Day".  So start calling your favorite radio station and your favorite record store and request your copy now!  The single will be availableregionally at: Budget CD's in Charleston, hopefully FYE in Charleston and Ashland, KY and Borders in the Huntington Mall.

BIGGER NEWS:  We are planning on a big CD Release Party exclusively at Atlantis on Friday, September 26th.  This will be a huge party and we are inviting everyone!  You areinvited!  Please come out and have fun with us while we perform our original songs.  We will have lots of free food, drink specials like the Convertible Blonde, created by bartender and friend, Mark Schrader, TONS OF FREE GIVE - A- WAYS!  Doors open at 8:00 show starts at 9:00.

THE BIGGEST NEWS:  We're going to Australia! to tour! in January 2004!  Our first gig will be New Year's Eve and we are so excited about this tour!  We'll be traveling up and down the east "gold" coast for 14 shows and returning to the states the first week of February.  I really love to travel.  I always love to come home, but it's great to travel and see new places and meet new people.  We have been meeting a lot of Australians lately and they are some of thegreatest people you will ever meet.  So, this is gonna be a really memorable life experience for all of us.  We will be posting photos and updates from the tour, so you can check in with us while we are away and see what we are seeing.  It will be like your traveling with us.  :)

OK, back to normal news.  We've been working in T-Bone and everyone at Atlantis reallyloved his playing and personality.  The show is starting to really rock!  We've added some new songs and T-Bone sings one of them.  Everyone in the band sings now and it's all coming together.  Bub's singing a new song called Cars and Money, which sounds a lot likethe band The Cars and that's why we picked it up.  He sounds great on that too. And Larry is enjoying his Mesa Boogie guitar head.  It's really got the knobs and gadgets and lights up like a Christmas tree.

This time at Atlantis, The ProTech table was partying as usual and Gordon got up and sang Rapper's Delight after spanking the monkey on Wednesday night.  The first Wednesday night we played I thought Larry was gonna be hog-tied...We like to joke around a lot on Wednesday nights with Bill Sheehan, radio personality extraordinaire and friend, and the regular Working Women's Wednesday night crew. Every Wednesday night the hard working ladies gather at Atlantis to have a drink and celebrate with a live remote and giveaways hosted by Bill.  This time around Larry said something he shouldn't have and incited the mob of ladies (including myself).  I won't repeat it, but I will say that he was only joking.  :)  If you wanna know what he said you'll have to come out on Wednesdays.  Maybe he'll say it again.  :)  We all lined up and took turns telling him off over the mic.  It was an exhilarating experience.  Great stress relief!

This weekend we're playing at noggins.  So watch for Bub's diary about that.  Until next time, thanks for coming out to see us and take care while we are away.  See u soon!

your friend, Gina
